Frederic Boucheron was the first jeweller to move to Place Vendôme, precisely to the 26th townhouse because it was the sunniest spot, then diamonds would sparkle even more, as the brilliant future to come. Commissioned by Dukes, Maharajas, Princes and Queens, Boucheron Maison converted their treasures' stones into bespoke creations, some of them missing but still alive as legends. Boucheron’s timeless craftsmanship and innovation, shine through its award-winning pieces as the clasp-less necklace, the Peacock's Feather or the Question Mark designs. Another symbol of the Maison, the bejewelled bestiary muse, Wladimir, a black Persian cat, posing for the firm since 1979.

In 1988 the Place Vendôme jeweller launched “Boucheron” pour femme. The advertising campaign slogan was a literal description of the original piece, a ring-bottle with a sapphire-blue cap. Since then, Boucheron perfume vessels always recreate the iconic jewels of the Maison..
