How can we sum up almost 200 years of emblematic creations? Impossible! But we can list some of the classic milestones of the House of Hermés since its foundation in 1837. Saddles for the Czar of Russia, the first zipped golf jacket for the Prince of Wales, silk scarves in the 1930s, exclusive silk ties that were the must-have label of the 1940s, the Princess of Monaco's favourite design renamed in the 1950s "Kelly Bag", the first perfume in 1951, the birth of the iconic H belt buckle in the late 1960s, the first collection of watches in the 1970s, the creation in the 1980s of the bag that inspired Jane Birkin: the coveted "Birkin Bag", the Hermès and Apple partnership in 2015 with the launch of the Apple Watch Hermès... The brand that has made Europe fall in love since its legendary boutique at 24 Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré next to the Palais de l'Élysée, not only represents the craftsmanship of the most varied "metiers" but also the "savoir faire" in each of them.
